Trusting God’s Timing: My Journey to Finding True Love

For the longest time, I couldn’t understand why my dating life always seemed to come up short. I had a decent sense of humor, good intentions, and a genuine heart, yet things never seemed to work out. I’d meet someone, things would start off great, and then, suddenly, it would all fall apart. The feeling of rejection and confusion was frustrating, and I struggled to understand why this kept happening.

I think we tend to get angry when we don’t understand why things unfold the way they do. I would scroll through social media, seeing friends in happy relationships, wondering, “Where is the person who would be proud to be with me?” Doubt started creeping in, making me question if relationships were even meant for me.

Then, I met someone who I was convinced was “the one”. We had so much in common, and I thought for sure that this was it — my happily ever after. But life had other plans. She became consumed with her career, and just as quickly as it began, it was over. It was a tough pill to swallow at the time. Looking back, though, I can see now that God had other plans for me — plans I couldn’t understand then but ones that ultimately led me to where I am today.

Fast forward almost a year later, and my best friend suggested I message a girl on Instagram. He had a good feeling about us, thinking we had a lot in common. I hesitated at first but decided to take the chance. From the very first conversation, everything just clicked. It was a “light bulb moment” — all the past heartbreaks and failed relationships were leading me to “her”.

This love was different. It was real. It was truly a gift from God. Meeting her made me realize why nothing else ever worked out — because God was preparing both of us for each other. He was molding us into the people we needed to be so that when we finally crossed paths, we wouldn’t mess it up.

To anyone out there feeling discouraged or lost in their search for love, know that everything happens for a reason. Trust in God’s timing, because when the right person comes along, it will all make sense.

Thank you for reading my story. If you’ve ever experienced something similar, I’d love to hear about it in the comments below. And remember — God’s timing is always the best timing. Stay blessed!
